This legislation entered into force on 1 January 2023, and reporting must be carried out every calendar year. The first report must be submitted no later than January 31, 2024 (for the calendar year 2023). The reporting does not affect your obligation to pay tax and does not change the rules for how income from platforms should be taxed. Which information will be reported to the Swedish Tax Agency? You must still comply with the rules that apply to the taxation of income you receive through platforms such as Hembiet. 1.

When an advertiser selects a helper, the amount that the advertiser specified as compensation is reserved on their registered payment card. When the job is completed and the advertiser confirms that everything is ready, the money is deducted from the payment card and transferred to the helper.

Hembiet uses Stripe  as external payment providers to offer safe and reliable payments. Hembiet does not store sensitive payment information; all information is encrypted and stored with the payment provider.

For you who will get paid:

When you submit your first request to perform a job, you will need to register a bank account to receive payments. You can also add your bank account directly under “My account” in the app. It is important that you use your personal information (address, first and last name) so that payments can be made.

Hembiet takes a brokerage fee of 20% of the total amount transferred from the advertiser to the helper. The payout you receive after completing the job thus corresponds to 80% of the amount that the advertiser specified.

On your first job execution, you must use the “View Management” feature in the app to confirm work done and activate the payment to your bank account. After this, the payment can take up to 4 banking days.

If you encounter problems receiving payments, please contact us at info@hembiet.se and describe your problem, as well as your registered phone number, and we will help you.

Income limit:

To distinguish between professional activity and helping as a private person, there is an annual income limit of SEK 100,000 including VAT (approx. SEK 75,000 – 80,000 excluding VAT). This amount is within the turnover limit for VAT registration in Sweden.

By staying within this limit, you can continue to help others and earn extra without being classified as a professional. We’ll let you know if you’re approaching the annual income limit.

Yes you can go to the same customer, as long as the total payment does not exceed SEK 10,000 during the year. This corresponds to 1-2 cleaning every month.

But only via the app. If Hembiet found that the helper use the hembiet app just to get the contacts to make private business, then Hembiet can charge you as per the authority rules.

When the helper bid/accept the Job, we only share the minimum information about you to the customer.

Transport costs will be borne by the helper. However, it is the helper’s responsibility to ensure that they have adequate insurance cover for any incidents or injuries that may occur during transport.

We assess the cleaner’s previous experience and training to determine if they are a professional helper. Usually the professional helper have worked in past and knows about the cleaning process.
